The Long Island Light Horse Association is situated east of Dapp, Alberta, right next to a municipal park. You can camp with your horse on our grounds if you are a member and be on the beach for a swim in 5 minutes. We have many miles of scenic trails to enjoy on sandy rolling hills. Our membership comes from all the communities around and as far away as Edmonton. We host clinics, trail rides, Endurance competitions and family fun days.

The Long Island Light Horse Association is a non-profit association. Through our activities we wish to create an environment that promotes safe, social, family oriented events. We believe that responsible horsemanship includes equine / handler safety, education, and mentorship. It is also the responsibility of the Long Island Light Horse Association members to be good stewards of the Natural Area and other trail systems surrounding the club grounds as well as the club grounds itself. The Long Island Light Horse Association also strives to be seen as an entity in good standing within the community building bonds via both equine and non-equine events.
